The scope of your role
As the Product Manager for our Smart Pay team, you will join us at a pivotal moment. We recently acquired November First, bringing a native financial services platform into our ecosystem. Now, with over 40 million supplier payments flowing through our system annually, the challenge is clear: to reshape the payment landscape for SMBs in Denmark. Your role will be to lead this transformation, driving end-to-end product management to make payment processes more efficient, while continuously contributing to the overall product strategy and delivering significant value to our users.

Further, you’ll be key in redefining how transactions are handled, setting a new industry standard in the Danish B2B sector. You’ll ensure Smart Pay is seamlessly integrated into the e-conomic workflows, opening new avenues for market growth and enhancing our offerings.
As our Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Lead the strategic collaboration
Partner with financial services stakeholders, the product trio (UX Designer, Engineering Manager, and Tech Lead), and the broader organization to define and drive the Smart Pay roadmap. You’ll align priorities across e-conomic and November First to deliver a unified product vision.Commercial and operational ownership
Lead the product strategy from conception to commercialization, where you will work together with the broader e-conomic organization on go-to-market (GTM) efforts.Stakeholder collaboration
You will manage a product with a strategic partner relationship, ensuring collaboration across e-economic. This includes working with Sales for product adoption, onboarding (KYC/AML), and close cooperation with our Support teams and November First.Product development
Tackle challenges head-on, breaking them into manageable Epics and User Stories. Your role will involve managing a dynamic backlog, prioritising what truly makes a difference, and guiding the development team through each sprint.Continuous feedback and Improvement
Actively engage with customers to understand their pain points, gathering insights that drive the evolution of Smart Pay. Your decisions will be grounded in real-world feedback, ensuring that our product remains relevant and valuable.
Meet your team
Obviously, you won’t be doing this alone. You’ll lead a cross-functional product trio, working closely with Line, our newly joined UX Designer starting Oct 1st, Oana, our Engineering Manager, and Kasper, our Tech Lead. The team is spread across Copenhagen and Romania. Beyond your immediate team, you’ll collaborate with various departments and our strategic partner, November First. Your strategic insight will be key as you work alongside the Product Director of the banking line to explore future initiatives and drive innovation in financial services.

SmartPay is a key component of the e-conomic platform and represents a shift for managing supplier invoices and payments. It streamlines the entire process from invoice receipt to payment and bookkeeping, ensuring businesses can concentrate on their core mission without dealing with different financial systems. It saves time, reduces mistakes, and can even save money on international transactions, accommodating a broad spectrum of needs from solo entrepreneurs to complex accounting operations.

Some years of experience in financial services product management, particularly with KYC/AML and payments.

Experience working across strategic partnerships with a capability to influence strategies across multiple groups of stakeholders.
Hands-on experience driving product discovery and delivery with product teams
A proven ability to drive a commercial agenda, strategically align priorities, and lead cross-functional teams.
A deep understanding of the needs of SMBs in the financial sector, with a passion for delivering solutions to SMBs in Denmark.
An ability to synthesise needs, pains, and scalable solutions in a mass-market context.

The recruitment process

1. Initial screening
Have a chat with Hanne, our Talent Acquisition Partner, for about 30 min.
2. First interview
This is a first meet and greet with Nicolai Hofsø and Oana, for you to learn more about the role and for us to learn more about you. It will last about 60 minutes.
3. Second interview
Dive deeper into the technical aspects of the role with Nicolai and Christian (our CPO), for around 90 min. There will also be a personality test feedback after the interview, together with Hanne and Nicolai, which will be around 30 min.
Prior to the interview you'll complete a personality test, and prepare for a case discussion. Total prep time is around 4.5 hours.
