Your Teams
The Design System team plays a crucial role in e-conomic by ensuring a cohesive visual design and user experience across the product. Their product, Taco, provides the components, code, behaviors, and patterns that enable product teams to build faster while continuously evolving design and UX.
The team consists of four engineers who will be your direct reports, along with two UX professionals and one Product Manager, who report to their respective leaders within the Products organization.
The team collaborates closely with the Operational Trio for short-term execution and the Strategic Trio for long-term vision.
As a core service in e-conomic, the Design System has many stakeholders, making this role critical to its success.
The Frontend team connects product frontend development and engineering by providing a frontend platform that enables our product teams to build consistent and seamless user experiences.
The team consists of three engineers, including a team lead.
They drive best practices for frontend development and cross-functional integration.
Your skills and experience
While a solid understanding of frontend technologies and design systems is valuable, what we value most is your commitment to supporting your team and helping them thrive. Relevant technical knowledge is a plus, but not essential, which is why we’ve listed team-focused experience first.
Proven success in leading and developing engineers, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and inspiring a shared vision.
Inspiring stakeholder management skills and a non-hierarchical worldview.
Commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and psychological safety.
Ability to define long-term goals, set clear expectations, and align efforts with overarching business strategies.
Solid understanding of frontend technologies, design systems, and platform architecture.
In addition to the above, the following technical skills are a plus:
Hands-on experience with accessibility, documentation, and scalability.
Familiarity with React, Typescript, Tailwind or other modern frontend technologies.
Experience in driving technical standards and consistency in large organizations.
At e-conomic, we’re focused on the person, not just the checklist. If you’re excited to step into a team leadership role and have a passion for building and supporting a high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you!
