Venture Tech Lead
Join us in an exciting role, where you’ll operate at the intersection of emerging tech, strategy and venture building.
Every startup dreams of building the next breakthrough.
But what if the next big thing was built inside a market leader?
That’s what we’re doing at Visma e-conomic with the Growth Lab – an experimental team designed to explore, validate and scale the growth bets that could define the next decade.
Now, we’re looking for someone to anchor those bets in technology.
As our Venture Tech Lead, you’ll be the one who ensures that bold ideas are not only visionary, but buildable.
You’ll be the one defining how we build everything from the architecture, the frameworks, and the emerging technologies that power new ventures.
And you’ll be hands-on enough to prove it works, because in Growth Lab we believe that technical leadership is practiced through creation.
Your Impact
Imagine shaping the technical foundation that future ventures will be built on.
At Growth Lab, you’ll act as the bridge between strategy and technology ensuring that every new venture is built on the right tech, for the right reasons.
You’ll design the technical playbook that lets Growth Lab move fast without losing rigour – from stack and infrastructure choices to how we validate, prototype, and scale.
And you’ll act as technical lead and advisor on 1–2 incubations at a time, ensuring each venture is grounded in sound architecture, smart trade-offs, and a clear path from concept to product.
In practice, that means:
Designing and evolving a standardized venture tech framework (stack, CI/CD, infrastructure) that shortens the path from idea to MVP.
Acting as technical architect on live experiments by evaluating feasibility, shaping architecture, and guiding development.
Leading our work with AI and emerging technologies by spotting where and how they create real leverage in new products.
Building the proofs-of-concept and prototypes that de-risk the hardest technical assumptions before anyone commits big.
You’ll set the direction, and you’re not hesitant when it comes to building the first bricks yourself.
Your work
A typical week could include:
Partnering with our Growth Strategists to turn validated opportunities into early technical blueprints.
Running deep dives or technical spikes to assess feasibility and scope.
Building or guiding early prototypes – whether it’s a quick AI demo or a minimal backend setup to validate user flow.
Defining infrastructure principles and templates for new ventures.
Staying on top of the fast-moving AI landscape - from LLMs to agentic frameworks - and translating hype into useful, working tools.
Collaborating with internal product, data and engineering teams to ensure a clean handover from validation to scale.
Your Team
You’ll join a small, ambitious squad inside e-conomic’s Growth Lab – a mix of Growth Strategists, Product Leaders and external specialists with the autonomy to define and drive our own experiments.
You’ll own the technical direction, ensuring we make the right calls early and build on solid ground.
You’ll have the autonomy to explore, the mandate to build, and the backing of a leading SaaS company when it’s time to scale.
To truly thrive in our Growth Lab, you’ll need to:
Find structure in the unknown and architect clarity when no blueprint exists.
Think in systems by seeing how business goals, product design and tech architecture connect.
Move fast by prioritizing learning over perfection.
Stay curious - especially about AI, automation and the next wave of tech that might change how we build.
You’ll work closely with Casper Düna (Senior Growth Strategist), and our three other Growth Strategists in the team by balancing strategy with execution, and helping make sure our technical bets are as sound as our commercial ones.
