Site Reliability Engineer
Help shape the accounting platform that supports 250,000+ businesses - empower our engineers to build faster, safer, and with less friction at e-conomic.
We usually respond within two weeks
At e-conomic, more than 250,000 businesses trust us with their accounting every day.
Behind the scenes, our Developer Experience (DevEx) team makes sure the engineers building that product can do their best work - fast, reliably, and without friction. We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join us in Copenhagen and take ownership of the platform that every developer at e-conomic depends on.
Diving into the role
You’ll be the reliability anchor for our internal developer platform - the CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, deployment tooling, and automation that keeps our engineering organisation running. Working alongside fellow engineers on the DevEx team, you’ll balance keeping existing systems healthy with building the tools and processes that make developer life better over time.
As Site Reliability Engineer, you will:
Own the reliability, availability, and performance of our internal developer platform and its services
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, secrets management, and developer tooling
Monitor platform health and set up observability (metrics, dashboards) to catch issues before developers do
Troubleshoot development environment incidents during working hours, and help build the runbooks and improvements that prevent recurrence
Constantly improve and modernize our developer platform
Support and guide developers across e-conomic when they hit infrastructure or tooling issues
The DevEx team
You will join our DevEx team - a small, cross-functional group of engineers focused on developer productivity and platform reliability located primarily in Copenhagen.
Our tooling and automation is used by every engineering team at e-conomic on a daily basis, which means what we build has real, immediate impact. We work in a GitHub-centric, agile environment with a strong focus on action and knowledge sharing.
This is a full-time position based in Copenhagen (Carlsberg Byen), with a hybrid setup. You’ll report to Anna Sparkov, Engineering Manager, and be part of Products (R&D), joining a development organisation of more than 180 colleagues across Denmark, Romania, and Portugal.
The department brings together a diverse group representing over 25 nationalities, including Developers, Product Managers, QA Engineers, and UX Designers.
What we imagine you’ll bring
You have a practical background in software development, cloud infrastructure, or CI/CD - ideally a blend of all three but experience in one area and a strong interest in the other two is also great. You’re comfortable working independently on well-scoped tasks, and you know when to ask for input on the trickier ones. You take ownership seriously and care about doing things right, not just fast. You embrace new technologies, and what they can do to boost our productivity.
You bring experience with:
3+ years of professional experience in either software development, cloud infrastructure and/or CI/CD
A strong desire to make developer’s work days more reliable, productive and streamlined
Solid communication skills in English is a requirement
Experience with Kubernetes, GitHub (and GitHubActions), C#, Python, TypeScript, GCP, ArgoCD, Agentic development practices or HashiCorp Vault are a plus - but we’re happy to help you grow in areas you haven’t touched yet.
