Strategy Principal – Monetization & AI Revenue Architect

We’re looking for a Strategy Principal to lead the commercial architecture of this transition. This is not about incremental price optimization; it is about defining the economic model for the next generation of software.
THE MISSION
The shift from traditional SaaS usage metrics to "Software as an Employee" (via autonomous AI Agents) renders legacy transaction-based pricing models obsolete. This role exists to solve the "AI Value-Capture Puzzle":
The Value Shift: How do we evolve from charging for basic volume metrics (like manual booked entries and postings) to capturing the premium value of autonomous AI completion and business outcomes?
The Margin Question: How do we protect our 80%+ gross margins while managing the variable inference costs of heavy AI models?
The Scale Challenge: How do we migrate a massive, highly stable customer base into this new era smoothly, without friction?
THE ROLE
As Strategy Principal, you’ll drive our work to best capture the value we deliver across the entire business. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, product, and finance, driving the strategic blueprint as a high-influence principal architect. This is a dedicated 'one-man army' mandate where you will operate with full autonomy, directly leveraging and aligning cross-functional teams across Product, Finance, and Commercial units to execute your vision. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Strategy Officer and the wider management team.
Your work will directly influence:
Monetization of AI & Automation: Balancing traditional SaaS subscriptions with usage- or outcome-based pricing for our "Autopilot" suite.
Packaging Architecture: Defining value metrics and tier structures that reflect how customers derive value today – and tomorrow.
Valuation Defense: Ensuring our commercial models scale operationally while driving long-term ARR growth and company valuation.
WHAT YOU WILL DRIVE
Strategic Decision-Making: Structuring complex, multi-variable commercial questions into clear, evidence-based decision processes for leadership.
Cross-Functional Implementation: Partnering across Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to ensure high-level strategy translates into seamless market execution.
Experimental Rigor: Bringing a rigorous, data-driven approach to monetization, using targeted experimentation and customer insights to de-risk major strategic pivots.
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for an exceptional strategist who combines an elite consulting toolkit with a deep understanding of SaaS commercial realities.
Experience: Extensive tenure within Tier 1 Strategy Consulting or as a Monetization and Pricing lead within a high-growth SaaS platform or a complex, high-volume recurring revenue setting.
Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of recurring revenue models, value-based packaging, and the changing economics of digital transformation.
Analytical Gravity: Comfort with data, financial modeling (sensitivity analysis, business casing), and a proven ability to synthesize high-level complexity into clear, 2-page decision memos.
Executive Presence: The clarity and maturity required to challenge, align, and guide senior stakeholders through complex strategic transformations.

The Interview Process
Applications are reviewed continuously, and we invite candidates for interviews as we go.
Initial screening: Initial chat to learn more about your motivation and align on compensation together with Diana, Talent Partner.
1st interview: Meet up with Martin, Chief Strategy Officer, where we’ll learn more about you, and you’ll get to know the role more in depth. Duration: ~60 min.
2nd interview: Dive deep into the strategic complexity with Martin and the hiring team. You’ll receive a business case and personality assessment in advance to prepare. We will dedicate at least 1 hour of this session to an interactive case presentation and strategic discussion. Total prep time: ~4 hours | Interview duration: ~120 min.
If all interviews align, we typically follow up with two short reference calls as part of the process.
